Yesterday the winner in the nomination "The Person of the Year among the public ICT sector" was awarded. The nominees  were Oleg Shevchuk, Director of the Information Society Institute, and Yaroslav Pavlovsky, Deputy Director of the Information Society Institute, Olesya Arkhipskaya, Director of the Revival International Information Programs Fund, Alexander Mandrykin, the President of Wireless Ukraine and a member of the Public Council affiliated with NKRS, Yuri Solovyov, the President of TELAS Association, as well as Yuri Peroganich, Executive Director of the Association of Information Technology Enterprises of Ukraine and Natalia Klitnaya, Director General of Ukrteleset Association.

The winner was determined by a simple majority vote out of the number of nominees. The most significant person of ICT industry, according to the organizers, became Yuri Peroganich – Executive Director of the Association of Information Technology Enterprises of Ukraine. According to the interviewees, he deserved this award with the organization development and effective work and coordinating its working order in short time. Among the merits of the winner was also active participation in public councils affiliated with state structures, ensuring public awareness of legislative initiatives, personal involvement in many projects, cooperation and development of relations with various international organizations. And most importantly, his proactive stand and effective communication in the ICT industry and the industry protection sphere.
