| The procedure of dialling emergency telephone numbers will stay unchanged until the end of 2008 |

From November 15, 2008, no numbers have been and will be changed. This date is only the beginning of preparation of telecommunications for the introduction of new numbers according to European standards.
That is, the process has started, but so far it will not affect ordinary consumers of services from telephone companies, informed the press service of the State Department for Communications affiliated with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine.
No specific date of real change has been stated yet, it will be determined by telecommunications operators, who need time for preparation.
"The first quarter of 2009 can be considered so far, and the complete change is scheduled in 4 years", the Ministry of Transport and Communications has reported.
