The volume of communication services export of Ukrainian enterprises increased in the second quarter of 2008 contrasted to the first one by 10.6 % to USD 76.1 million (USD 68.8 million in the first quarter of 2008). This has been reported by the state committee of statistics of Ukraine.
Total volume of communication services export from Ukraine to 86 countries of the world in the first half-year of 2008 made USD 144.9 million or 2.6 % of total volume of services export from Ukraine.
Communication services import to Ukraine was realized from 83 countries of the world.
In the first half-year of 2008 their volume made USD 62.6 million or 2.1 % of the volume of services import of Ukraine. In the second quarter of 2008 communication services were imported to the amount of USD 39.2 million, which is by 67.5 % more than in the first quarter 2008 (USD 23.4 million or 1.7 %out of total volume of services import of Ukraine).
Positive foreign trade balance in the sphere of international communication service exchange in the first half-year of 2008 made USD 82.25 million.
The biggest volume of import and export of communication services in the first half-year of 2008 was realized to Russia: export to the amount of USD 53.9 million or 37.2 % of total volume of export, and import to the amount of USD 19.9 million or 31.8 %of total volume of import.
The biggest negative foreign trade balance in the sphere of international communication services exchange in the first half-year of 2008 is fixed with Great Britain (minus USD 3.08 million).
