The National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine has announced bidding for licenses for broadcasting on free TV and radio frequencies. This has been reported by the press service of the National Council.
The National Council has announced bidding for licenses for broadcasting on TV-channel 51 in Rivne and TV-channel 10 in Konotop.
With the purpose of developing national channels, 7 radio frequencies were also offered for the bidding in the Crimea and 80 radio frequencies with unlimited territory broadcasting in 21 regions.
The National Council has also offered 38 radio frequencies for the development of local broadcasting.
Besides, the bidding for broadcasting on 31 radio channels has been announced.
The applications for participation in the bidding are accepted until December 13 inclusive, and the outcome of the bidding will be summed up by February 12, 2009 inclusive.
One of the licensing conditions for national and regional broadcasting is conducting 100% programs in the Ukrainian language.
